Gym Log PRO App Reviews
i really like this app its a very good way to track your workout progress; which is more importent then people think. i wish that they would change the workouts from times to reps / sets / weight which is way more useful and important then the time and maybe a food log
Super frustrated because you cannot record inidvidual sets, weight, or reps for your workout. Telling you what to work on which day of the week can be done with a simple calendar. Graphing your workouts only shows you that your training is imbalanced, not if you are actually making progress.
This app looked promising, but after I got it I was very disappointed. I keep track of all my lifts on paper and I was hoping that this app would allow me to keep track of my strength progress as well as allowing me to see where I focused my lifts. I think when that feature is added this app will be worth the $6.
When I got this app I was so excited. I thought, "finally my days of handwriting my lifts and info in my illegible scrawl are over!". Once you install this program, the first thing youll notice is that theres no tab/bar/info/anything that has anything to do with reps/sets/weight or basically anything useful for a weight training workout. The overarching "stat" that it monitors is the time of your workout--how long youve been working out for. Now for anyone whos actually worked out day in their life whether through running or weight lifting, they know that this information is useless about 99% of the time. A good workout, monitoring progress, none of this has anything to do with how long it takes you to do your workouts. However, this is the only stat that is kept track of. They have all these fancy bar and circle graphs that can tell you what percentage of time youve done each muscle workout, but nothing at all that monitors how your weight training has improved over time, or even for that matter, your running times. So I was pretty disappointed when I realized how useless this thing was for monitoring the things that I, and any other fitness person would actually want to know. But I found a way to work around this by simply writing in my sets/reps/weight by hand. And then the worst: for no reason at all, the program erased all my information I had logged for the past 2 months. This is the worst app Ive ever used, I wouldnt recommend it to anyone. Save yourself 6 dollars.
what is so pro about it? i removed it after 5 minutes after installing it. It has nothing inside and you can’t keep a log of your daily workout. Also what is with built in calculator .. FUNNY .. you can access the one in your Mac OS X.
Exactly what i was looking for!
Great app with great functionality! Nothing else like it on the app store. A must get if you want to replace your pad and paper.
Best Gym app!
Definitely the best way to record your gym sessions on the Mac. Beats pen and paper any day. Get it if you are on the fense!
The App, as noted by others, has potential. Definately not worth the money. Don’t waste your time with it, Breaks down a workout into time spent as if time were requesite for traning. I was hoping for an App that would allow me to track the TUT; Time Under Tension for each exercise. I thought it would work and didn’t, wasted 6 bucks.
